safety as a subcontractor to BEESC. This project
will rehabilitate 0.9 miles of existing road
to current design standards with realignments
as necessary along rock bluffs to minimize
maintenance efforts and provide a dependable
year-round access to the airport, which is
the community's only link to other parts of
the state. The design coordinates coastal engineering
for armor rock slope protection, geotechnical
recommendations for rock fall and rock cutting
issues, hydraulic engineering for fish passage
at stream crossings, and right-of-way mapping.

Engineering is providing environmental engineering
services for Kiewit Pacific Co. for this design-build
facility. Work includes developing the erosion
and sediment control plan, the storm water pollution
prevention plan, permit application(s) for the
northern most anadromous fish stream, providing
environmental compliance training and monitoring,
and permitting borrow, and disposal sites and acquiring
permit modifications for the Corps of Engineers
??? 404 permit as required.
Huffman Road - Old Seward Highway to Lake
Otis Parkway: Green Engineering is preparing
the utility conflict report, providing an updated
environmental document and preparing permit applications
for DOWL Engineering. From New Seward Highway
to Lake Otis Parkway, Huffman Road will be three
lanes wide to accommodate a center left turn
lane. From New Seward Highway to Old Seward Highway,
Huffman Road will be widened to five lanes. Design
includes a multi-use path on the north side and
sidewalk on the south.
Ketchikan Airport: USKH is providing
environmental and engineering services to improve
the runway safety area and provide a pavement overlay
for runway. Green Engineering is supporting environmental
services in the permitting and agency consultations
??? efforts.

alignment, expanding the runway safety area, drainage
improvements, resurfacing, lighting and providing
a 2-bay green SREB. Green Engineering is preparing
project specifications, the Erosion and Sediment
Control Plan and the Safety Plan.
Klatt Road - New Seward Highway Pressure
Zone Intertie: Green Engineering is
responsible for agency coordination, permitting
and community awareness in support of the USKH
design.
Lake Hood General Aviation Parking relocation
and Lakeshore taxiway (Aircraft Drive) Separation
Projects - Ted Stevens Anchorage International
Airport: Green Engineering developed
safety plans to address airport operations and
the impacts of construction haulage on the public
road system provided environmental documentation;
and acquired project permits. These projects
managed by DOWL Engineering will facilitate general
aviation parking and siting a new field maintenance
facility and reduce aircraft automobile an pedestrian
conflicts. Client: DOWL Engineering
Lake Otis Parkway - 68th to Abbott Road
Placement Rehabilitation: Green Engineering
is preparing a utility conflict report for USKH.
Ninth Avenue Surface Rehabilitation -
L Street to Ingra Street: Green Engineering
is performing utility conflict analysis and
preparing our environmental document for project
improvements as a subcontractor to USKH.
Northern Region Airports: Green
Engineering is supporting DOWL's work to provide
environmental documents and wetlands analyses on
several Northern Region airports. As part of this
work, they are working on the Environmental Assessment
for St. Mary's Airport and conducted field work
on the airports at Ruby and Nulato.
Northway Airport: The project
will reconstruct and pave the runway, taxiway,
and apron damaged in the 2002 earthquake. Green
Engineering is supporting USKH's engineering efforts
by preparing the project scoping report and preparing
project specifications. USKH is providing engineering
and environmental services for this project.
